David Prutton predicts West Brom clash v Norwich City at Carrow Road for Sky Sports

Sky Sports pundit David Prutton has predicted West Brom to hold Norwich City to a draw when they visit Carrow Road in the Championship on 20 January.

Prutton gushed over the talent Norwich have at their disposal, notably Jonathan Rowe, but backed West Brom to keep picking up points in their push to stay in the play-off places.

With the 4-1 thrashing of Blackburn Rovers last time out, Albion will go into the game with plenty of confidence, although Norwich have been flying lately, inspiring Prutton to predict a 1-1 draw.

Writing in his Sky Sports Championship Predictions, Prutton shared: “Norwich have some brilliant players in their squad, and Jonathan Rowe proved his class again with that fantastic solo effort against Hull City last week.

“You wonder where they would be without him this season. Certainly not two points off the play-offs at this stage.

“West Brom bounced back to winning ways with a thrashing of Blackburn last weekend. They just need to keep picking up points as there are a queue of sides now outside the top six. Score draw here for me. 1-1.”

A tough one to call

If Albion were the home side, you could probably favour them for this clash, but a visit to Carrow Road will not prove easy after the run of form the Canaries have been on lately.

Just one loss in their last five games, and two in their last ten, have seen them climb up the table. While 11th in the league doesn’t look particularly lofty, fans by now will be used to the nature of the Championship as they sit just two points away from sixth.

In that ten-game run, though, came a defeat to Carlos Corberan’s side on 26 December, with that clash likely to inspire the Baggies ahead of this one, as they have proved they have got enough in the tank to beat Norwich.

Brandon Thomas-Asante scored the winner that day and after his brace against Blackburn last time out he will be looking to set himself on a run of form, with the new arrival of Andi Weimann putting pressure on the striker to perform or be replaced.
