West Brom news: Chris Lepkowski reacts to footage of Birmingham fan entering for free
Chris Lepkowski has reacted to footage of a Birmingham City fan entering Hawthorns for free ahead of the West Brom game on Saturday, 3 February.
The former Birmingham Mail journalist took to Twitter to reshare footage a Birmingham fan shared of him being inside the stadium.
Lepkowski took a tongue-in-cheek dig about the inefficiency of matchday operations at the Hawthorns.
He wrote: “Matchday operations continue to go swimmingly at The Hawthorns.”
West Brom chaos
Lepkowski has humorously highlighted the inefficiency of matchday operations at the Hawthorns in response to the footage, indicating a lack of control over stadium security.
The atmosphere was inevitably going to be tense following the recent controversy surrounding the West Brom v Wolves match.
This tension was further exacerbated by a video showing a Birmingham City fan entering the stadium for free, adding fuel to the fire.
None of this would have mattered to Carlos Corberan as his aim was to ensure that his side secured the three points in front of their home fans.
The Baggies went into the game in fifth place and ensuring the stay in the top six is imperative so these are the kinds of games they should be winning.
Birmingham find themselves at the other end of the Championship and while they’re not in the drop zone, they are battling hard to avoid relegation.
