Andy Gray disagrees with Richard Keys over Ipswich Town v West Brom verdict
Andy Gray disagreed with a claim made by Richard Keys regarding the result between West Brom and Ipswich Town on Saturday (10 February).
The promotion-chasing sides played out a dramatic 2-2 draw at Portman Road in the day’s early kick-off.
Speaking on beIN SPORTS [10 February], Keys said the result was “perfect for everyone else around them”.
However, Gray had a different view as he interjected with: “The others would have wanted the Baggies to win.”
West Brom firmly in hunt for Premier League return
West Brom will rightly feel disappointed at the manner of the result given they were twice pegged back, the second instance coming in added time.
However, a point at Portman Road is still a positive outcome and ensures Albion remain well positioned in the top six.
Albion are fifth in the table, but the chasing pack are fast closing in. Indeed, just four points separate the Baggies and Preston North End down in ninth.

It is shaping up to be a six-team battle for the final two play-off spots, with Ipswich seemingly certain of booking their place in the end-of-season lottery.
In this particular debate, Gray was right in what he said – the chasing pack likely would have preferred Ipswich to win, rather than the sides drawing.
Teams will be waiting to pounce on any slip-up from Albion, so fingers crossed for a return to winning ways against Cardiff City in midweek.
