West Brom: Arsenal star William Saliba sends two-word message after news at The Hawthorns
Arsenal defender William Saliba sent a two-word message to Yann M’Vila after the midfielder completed his free transfer to West Brom.
The French midfielder joined the Baggies on a short term until the end of the season (official website, 19 February), a move that sees him reunite with his former Olympiakos boss Carlos Corberan.
Saliba was a teammate of the now 33-year-old at St-Etienne in Ligue 1 and took the time to reply a post from M’Vila on Instagram.
“Let’s go,” the France international replied to a post from M’Vila that was captioned: “Happy to be part @wba family.”
When will Yann M’Vila make his West Brom debut?
Theoretically, M’Vila is free to make his West Brom debut immediately and he could have even featured against Plymouth on Tuesday, as the Baggies chalked up a 3-0 victory.
But the 33-year-old was left out as he looks to build up his fitness and you get the sense that Corberan will not be rushing him into the team and will look to build up his fitness first.

This weekend sees a tough trip to fellow promotion hopefuls Hull City and it would represent quite a big risk to throw M’Vila into the team for such an important contest, at the most you would think he would be an option for the bench.
He does, though, give West Brom a decent backup option. Okay Yoksulu and Alex Mowatt seem to have the midfield berths nailed down, while Nathaniel Chalobah is also in reserve. With Jayson Molumby out injured, it just means Corberan has a bit more depth in a key position.
In other West Brom news, a fellow former France international also had a message for M’Vila.
