West Brom: Triple injury update emerges ahead of Coventry City clash
Coventry City remain without midfield pair Ben Sheaf and Jamie Allen for their clash against West Brom, although striker Haji Wright could be fit, Mark Robins has confirmed.
The Baggies take on a Sky Blues side who are five points below them in the Championship table at The Hawthorns on Friday (1 March) having drawn 1-1 away at Hull City last time out with Darnell Furlong on the scoresheet.
Meanwhile, Coventry were beaten 3-0 at home by Preston North End in their last league outing.
Coventry boss Mark Robins gave an injury update on his side prior to the game, telling the club’s website (29 February): “He (Haji Wright) was fine yesterday. We make last-minute checks on certain people and there’s an illness going around at the moment, so we have to make sure everyone is ok and in decent condition.
“Jamie (Allen) is a little further away than (Ben) Sheaf. Ben is on the grass, and he won’t be too long now. Jamie will be a little bit behind him, but it’s difficult to put a time scale on Jamie because he isn’t on the grass yet.”
West Brom’s upcoming opponents Coventry City have injury woes
The fact Coventry remain without Sheaf and Allen boosts West Brom‘s hopes of winning. The pair are both key players in the middle of the park for the Sky Blues and their absence will be felt.
However, Wright’s potential involvement is a worry for the Baggies. He will be someone they need to keep an eye on as he has scored 11 goals in all competitions so far this season, 10 of which have come in the league since he made the switch to the Coventry Building Society Arena last summer from Antalyaspor.

Robins’ side remain well in the race for the play-offs and will be tricky opponents for West Brom, despite their heavy loss against Preston last weekend.
Corberan will be satisfied with the point that his team got at Hull last Saturday. It was important that they didn’t lose to the Tigers as they would have overtaken them if they’d won.
