West Brom: Grady Diangana repays Carlos Corberan faith v Stoke City

Grady Diangana was reinstated to the West Brom starting XI v Stoke City by Carlos Corberan and his performance proved why he deserved his place in the team.

Although the Baggies may not have secured a win, they have gone a point closer to securing their place in the playoffs this season.

Mikey Johnston did give them the lead early on before Jed Wallace doubled the lead with just half an hour left on the clock.

Thanks to goals from Million Manhoef and Andre Vidigal the home side got themselves back on level terms and secured a point.

Despite it being disappointing to draw in these circumstances there were many positives to take from the game in the end.

How did Grady Diangana perform for West Brom v Stoke City?

After a 23-minute cameo against Watford (1 April), it felt nailed on that Diangana had done enough to secure a start against Stoke.

There were two assists for the Congolese international as West Brom came back from 2-0 down and earned a point at The Hawthorns.

Fast forward to the clash away to the Potters and the 25-year-old was rewarded with his 25th start of the season and he provided his eighth assist so far [FotMob].

His general performance was positive on top of getting the assist. This saw him register an 80% dribble success with four as well as an 86% pass accuracy, according to FotMob.

There were calls for the winger to come in from the start and these were listened to by Corberan who saw him feature across the full 90.

Despite the Baggies drawing in disappointing circumstances against Stoke there is no doubt Diangana was a positive point.
