West Brom could sign up to three new players if Okay Yokuslu leaves the club this summer, according to the Cannock Chronicle.

The newspaper reported in its print edition (13 July, back page) that a fee alongside his large wages being saved could open the door to new signings.

Besiktas and Trabzonspor are both keen on bringing Yokuslu back to Turkey this summer and could help the club balance any FFP concerns [Cannock Chronicle, 13 July].

Okay Yokuslu to be sold by West Brom?

Even if Yokuslu does remain an Albion player this summer, however unlikely that looks, there's still plenty of work to do at The Hawthorns regarding the size, shape and identity of the squad.

A total of 15 first-team and academy players combined have already left the club, with only Zac Ashworth's switch to Blackpool bringing in a transfer fee.

As such, major rebuilding work is already in the pipeline for Carlos Corberan, and selling Yokuslu for an amount close to £3million, that money would certainly be of help.

Although Ousmane Diakite's arrival will bolster the defensive midfield stocks, they will need adding to much further if Yokuslu is to follow Nathaniel Chalobah and Yann M'Vila out of the exit door.

After 48 appearances in all competitions last season, replacing Yokuslu won't be an easy task, but if his departure can bring in the money for three new transfers, Albion may well jump at the next credible offer they receive from Besiktas or Trabzonspor [Sports Digitale, 8 July].
