Crystal Palace eye Tom Fellows transfer as West Brom exit verdict shared
Crystal Palace watched West Brom winger Tom Fellows last term and there is a potential concern he could be sold, according to Chris Lepkowski.
The 21-year-old impressed in his breakthrough season at The Hawthorns last term, scoring four goals and laying on three assists in 14 league starts to earn himself a new contract.
While Newcastle United were known to be interested in the prospect in January [Express and Star, 2 February], former Baggies head of media Lepkowski has shared that they aren’t the only Premier League club keeping tabs.
Speaking on The Liquidator podcast on Sunday (4 August, 27:30) he said: “I know that Crystal Palace a few times last season were watching Fellows.
“I hope that one doesn’t happen for Palace or anyone else for that matter. He’s one I think you really, really have to try and keep.
“But I think it’s fair to say that right now every player does come with a value and a potential concern that they might be sold.”
Tom Fellows exit still a possibility to at West Brom
As Lepkowski suggests, it does feel as though there is a price on every West Brom player’s head this summer, particularly after Okay Yokuslu, Brandon Thomas-Asante and Connor Townsend all departed The Hawthorns.
Corberan will of course be reluctant to lose Fellows given the impact he had particularly in the second half of last season, but he may well be powerless to stop a sale if Albion’s asking price is met in the coming weeks.
Shilen Patel and those around him at The Hawthorns simply must do all that they can to keep the 21-year-old.

Yes, he would bring in a reasonable transfer fee, but it would be an indication of what the club value at this stage and could potentially frustrate Corberan and the supporters alike.
Hopefully, the Baggies will find a way to beat away any Premier League interest that arrives this summer. It won’t be easy, but they’ll have to find a way if they have any desire to push for the top six again this season.
