Jed Wallace brands West Brom staff ‘legends’ after video emerges on social media
West Brom skipper Jed Wallace has called the kitchen staff at the club ‘legends’ on social media after a video was published online.
Wallace shared Albion’s original post on X [8 August] which demonstrated the hard work behind-the-scenes from the chef team at the club’s training ground.
He was not the only key figure to praise the department, with chairman Shilen Patel also taking to X to describe them as “fantastic” [9 August].
The 30-year-old said: “It’s people like this that make this a special club to be a part of.
“Legends, the lot of them.”
West Brom set for unpredictable season
It’s tricky to attempt to rank West Brom in the Championship this year and the opening handful of games will be the ideal way to gauge how they will fare.
There has been no secret of Carlos Corberan’s frustration at both losing certain players and not securing targets of his own, whilst there was a brief period where the club were themselves at risk of losing the coveted head coach amid Leicester City and Burnley’s managerial hunts. Losing a great deal of experience from last season’s dressing room which had gathered a defensive consistency and a solid foundation is a tough pill to swallow.
However, the Baggies have looked to remain proactive on a relatively small budget with Patel outlining the PSR risks should the club push their luck.
Seven players have so far arrived at The Hawthorns this window, with an outright purchase fee for just one, Torbjorn Heggem for around £500,000.
