Uros Racic has visited the West Brom training ground as a transfer nears completion, according to Hotsport.

The Serbian outlet reported on 21 August that the 26-year-old is on the verge of completing a move to the Hawthorns from Sassuolo.

The Serbia international is already in England and has visited the West Brom Training Ground which points towards a transfer being close.

West Brom set to sign Uros Racic

The Baggies look set to add the former Valencia man to their squad after he suffered relegation from the Serie A last campaign.

Racic is a defensive-minded midfielder who could prove to be a useful replacement option for Okay Yokuslu who left earlier in the transfer window.

There is no doubt that the Serbian could prove to be a coup for Albion given the level of clubs that he has featured for over the years.

With regular appearances for Braga and Red Star Belgrade over the years, a move to the Championship could prove to be a career boost.

A move must be close considering that Racic is in England and has already looked around the training ground ahead of a transfer.

It is positive to see that the Baggies are getting deals done ahead of the transfer deadline with midfield being an area Carlos Corberan wants to improve.

Callum Styles also looks set to come in and add to the midfield revolution at the Hawthorns.
