EFL players want to join Carlos Corberan at West Brom with deal now close

Dan Bardell believes Callum Styles will be a positive signing for West Brom due to his versatility.

The Yorkshire Post reported on 18 August that the Baggies are on the verge of completing a deal to sign the Hungary international.

The 24-year-old spent the second half of last season on loan with Sunderland and now looks set to move to the Hawthorns on a permanent deal potentially worth £2million [Barnsley Chronicle].

Sky Sports and talkSPORT journalist Bardell believes the Barnsley man will be a useful addition to Carlos Corberan’s squad.

Speaking exclusively to West Brom News, Bardell said: “The way that the squad is at the moment, it is always good to get a multifunctional player in.

Players in the EFL will be keen to move and play under Carlos Corberan.

He’s such a good manager for the Championship level and I definitely think Styles would be a good signing.

The Baggies are looking to add to their squad ahead of the transfer deadline as they look to have yet another positive season under Corberan.

Styles could prove to be a useful addition to the squad given that he has the versatility to play as a central midfielder or as a fullback.

When pushing towards promotion as the season moves on, the Hungarian could prove to be a utility player which every side needs when injuries start to kick in.

The former Millwall loanee is positive with the ball at his feet and is capable of helping West Brom control the ball better in midfield and wide areas.

On such a cheap deal there is no doubt that Styles could prove to be a bargain and that is exactly what the Baggies need right now.
