West Brom want Daryl Dike back for added firepower
It has been a difficult time for Dike since arriving at The Hawthorns, having now had two lengthy spells on the treatment table.
The American played only four times in the Championship last season, and the hope is that he can pick up where he left off and be back in the goals upon his return.
If Dike can regain his early Albion form once back on the pitch, Corberan could get a good six months out of him in the club’s top-six push, but the club are flirting with the idea of a new striker at present with a reported bid for Will Keane rejected by Preston [George Hodgson, 21 August].
The 24-year-old would bring a different dimension back to the Albion attack, supplemented by a pool of excellent creative players such as John Swift, Grady Diangana and Tom Fellows.
In the meantime, Josh Maja has certainly stepped in, his hat-trick at QPR so far the only goals West Brom have scored in the league, whilst youngster Mo Faal netted in the Carabao Cup at Fleetwood.
