Adam Reach in talks for Championship return after West Brom exit
Adam Reach is in talks with several Championship clubs following his West Brom exit earlier this summer, according to Sky Sports.
The 31-year-old was released by the Baggies at the end of his contract, leaving following three seasons at The Hawthorns after arriving as a free agent in 2021.
Reach made 78 appearances in all competitions for the Championship club, but had fallen out of favour under Carlos Corberan in the last two campaigns, making just eight league starts in that time.
Adam Reach to return to Championship football after West Brom exit?
Having notched 33 goals and 45 assists in 375 appearances in the division, one team will be signing an absolute workhorse, given his ability to play anywhere down the left flank.
While it is unclear which teams are interested in Reach as a free agent, there are several clubs that would not turn down the chance to acquire his signature for nothing.
Corberan now has Torbjorn Heggem and Gianluca Frabotta at his disposal at left-back, leaving absolutely no room for Reach in the position.
He made just five starts in the Championship last season, but with Conor Townsend plying his trade at left-back, it came as no surprise to see the veteran drop down the pecking order.
However, the former England U20s international has experience with Middlesbrough, Preston North End and Sheffield Wednesday, playing over 200 games for the latter between 2016 and 2021.

Of course, with Reach now a free agent, clubs will be under no pressure to strike a deal with the 31-year-old before the transfer window slams shut on 30 August, but managers will want as much time as possible to bed him into a new squad.
Given his lack of minutes in recent seasons, he may need a bit of time to get up to speed at a new club.
In other West Brom news, John Swift must step up for Carlos Corberan following the latest injury update at The Hawthorns.
