Carlos Corberan handed huge boost as Daryl Dike image emerges at West Brom
West Brom have endured a fantastic start to the 2024/25 campaign, sitting second in the Championship table going into the international break.
Despite several key exits during the summer transfer window, with the club attempting to alleviate the PSR pressures, Carlos Corberan has worked wonders at The Hawthorns so far.
Given the departure of Brandon Thomas-Asante, the return of Josh Maja has been hugely significant for the Baggies, but their fortunes may just be about to increase further.
Daryl Dike has been spotted back in training, posted by Ash Burty via X on Monday 3 September, with the caption: “Nice to see Dike back on the grass with Holgate and Johnston. Sure he still has a long way to go but it must be a nice moment for him.”
The 24-year-old has not played a single minute since February when he managed just nine minutes against Ipswich Town before suffering a new Achilles tendon injury.
Daryl Dike to return from injury for West Brom?
Of course, just being pictured back in training does not mean that Dike is anywhere near a return to first-team football, but it is a huge step forward for the American international.
Given how the campaign has started for the Baggies, sitting in second after four games, Corberan’s side must make a push for Premier League promotion, especially after being knocked out of the play-offs last term.

Although Maja has experienced a great comeback, he needs the support and back-up from his fellow strikers, but Mo Faal has now moved to Wrexham while Devante Cole hasn’t made an impact so far.
It will be hugely emotional for Dike and the home crowd at The Hawthorns when the striker eventually returns. Until then, the fans can just keep up with his progress and support him from afar.
In other West Brom news, Carlos Corberan must have words with Jayson Molumby despite the win v Swansea City.
