Jed Wallace shares what he really thinks about West Brom rising star Tom Fellows
Jed Wallace is “absolutely delighted” for Tom Fellows after the West Brom winger scored for England’s Under-21s on Monday 9 September.
The Baggies youngster scored the fourth and final goal in the Young Lions’ 4-1 win against Austria, making his second substitute appearance in as many matches for the U21 side.
After seeing he’d scored, Wallace was particularly proud of the Albion 21-year-old.
Wallace told West Brom’s official club website (10 September): “We’re all absolutely delighted for Tom. Seeing him score for England was brilliant and something we know will mean a lot to him.
“The lads will be thrilled for him because he’s such a good, down-to-earth guy. It’s impossible not to be happy for a guy like Tom.
“He’s been brilliant so far this season and his involvement in the England U21 squad is completely justified. I’m glad he’s getting that recognition on the international stage and hopefully there are more England call-ups for him in the next few months.”
Can Tom Fellows lead West Brom back to the Premier League?
It’s hard not to be impressed by the Baggies’ start to the Championship season, with them sat in second place in the league with 10 points from four games.
Fellows has played a key role in the Midlands sides’ success, assisting three times in the opening matches, putting him at the top of the list for most assists in the league, alongside Blackburn forward Makhtar Gueye.
While striker Josh Maja has been providing the goals, it seems as if the England U21 star is the creative outlet that Carlos Corberan will be relying on this season, and his performances speak for themselves.

West Brom haven’t played in the Premier League since their relegation in the 2020/21 campaign under Sam Allardyce. However, much has changed at The Hawthorns since then, as they now sit within the six teams favourites to be promoted.
Unless the interest of Premier League clubs returns and tempt Fellows with a move away from his boyhood club, Albion look set for an exciting rest of the season, with promotion hopes in full force.
