Sky Sports host makes West Brom claim all supporters will totally agree with
David Prutton has claimed that no team in the Championship can boast a better front four than West Brom.
The Baggies have scored 10 goals in their opening six Championship fixtures and currently sit at the top of the table after an unbeaten start to the season.
Josh Maja has six goals in six starts for Albion, and Prutton, when previewing the clash against Sheffield Wednesday on the Essential EFL podcast [26 September, 11m 48s] claimed that the Baggies frontline is the best in the second tier.
He said: “They’ve been wonderful. Really, really good to watch. They’ve seemingly picked up from that disappointment in the playoffs last season and have started very, very well indeed.
“Carlos [Corberan] is of course highly coveted when jobs come up and quite rightly so. When you’ve got Josh Maja in that type of form, Tom Fellows with that wonderful wing play that he employs and across the front with Karlan Grant and John Swift, that’s, at this moment in time, as good an attacking four as you can possibly wish for and seemingly pretty solid at the back.”
West Brom firing on all fronts in the Championship this season
The Baggies have enjoyed a sensational start to the season under Corberan and have emerged as genuine Championship title contenders.
Maja leads the goalscoring charts with Tom Fellows at the top of the assist rankings with four after six matches as the attack takes shape at The Hawthorns.
However, despite Prutton’s words, Sunderland, Burnley (both 13) and Blackburn (12) have each scored more than the Baggies’ 10 goals so far this season.
The impressive defensive record set by Albion has propelled the side to the Championship summit, with only two goals conceded and four clean sheets, and deserves more plaudits despite the pace set by Maja and Fellows in the attacking ranks.

With Daryl Dike set to make his eagerly awaited return to the side in the coming weeks [Express and Star], the attackers at The Hawthorns could well continue their incredible form in front of goal throughout the season with the American easing the workload on the free-scoring Maja.
However, West Brom’s start has not gone unnoticed, with Corberan drawing interest from Premier League sides, so the players will need to maintain the standard throughout the season to ensure the Spaniard remains in the West Midlands.
With so much football left to be played this season, there is still time for plenty of twists and turns, but the Baggies should be ecstatic with their start and have one eye on the Premier League.
In other West Brom news, a Carlos Corberan ironic twist possibility was outlined should he leave the Baggies.
