Corberan has already shared West Brom exit admission – BBC WM man

Carlos Corberan has already admitted he finds being linked to other managerial jobs “uncomfortable” amid interest from Leicester City.

The Spaniard has done an impressive job since his arrival at The Hawthorns and has the Baggies currently sitting sixth in the league.

However, his success has also led to him being linked to the current vacancy at Leicester following their sacking of Steve Cooper.

But the 41-year-old did previously tell Steve Hermon that he found the links to other jobs uncomfortable which may give supporters some hope.

Will Corberan leave West Brom?

It’s not a surprise to see Corberan linked to the managerial vacancy at the King Power Stadium. He has proven to be an exciting manager so far and it would not be a surprise to see him in the Premier League whether that’s earning promotion with his current side or moving elsewhere.

However, what should be giving the Baggies fans some hope looking ahead is that their boss doesn’t seem to get distracted from what conversations are going on outside his job.

He is well respected at the Hawthorns and if his side can keep up their standards this season, they could very easily stay in the play-off spots until the end of the season, giving them the chance to get promoted. This would be a bonus for the Spanish boss because it would offer him stability and the chance to see a project through.

That being said, a chance to manage in the Premier League has to be an attractive prospect for a boss in the Championship who is no doubt eager to push himself as far as he can.

He would have to be wary if he did make a move at a struggling Leicester side though because if he ended up in the second tier again next year with the Blues, he would possibly feel a sense of misjudgement.
