West Brom fans were far from impressed with loanee Lewis Dobbin as West Brom played out a goalless draw with Sunderland on Tuesday.

The 21-year-old replaced Mikey Johnston at the half-time break, occupying the left flank but failed to make the right impact as the Baggies drew their eighth game in the last nine on 26 November.

Dobbin had a brilliant chance to score the winner with just five minutes left, latching onto a cross into the Black Cats' penalty area by Tom Fellows but was denied by Daniel Ballard on the line at the Stadium of Light.

Lewis Dobbin misses the target in another West Brom draw

While the Sunderland defender did get back to block his shot, replays actually showed that the winger's effort was flying wide of the target, which has provoked many of the fans.

One supporter went as far as to plead for the club to "just get Dobbin out" while another claimed he is "the worst player" he has ever watched. It's safe to say that fans are less than pleased with the loanee.

Despite making 13 appearances in the Championship so far this season, none of them have come from the start, clearly not showing enough to Carlos Corberan to warrant a spot in the starting XI.

The likes of Johnston, Fellows and Karlan Grant are far more likely to start ahead of him, and rightly so.

Supporters are clearly fed up with the lack of impact Dobbin has when coming on as a substitute and it could be that the Baggies end his loan deal early and send him back to Aston Villa.

Corberan will likely be frustrated too, with the youngster spurning a brilliant chance to secure all three points against the Black Cats, but once again, the Baggies have to settle for another point on the road.
