West Brom make Uros Racic U-Turn as new manager update emerges

West Brom have decided to give Uros Racic another chance to prove himself, according to DOOD.

The Baggies insider reported last week that Albion are considering cutting the Serbia international’s season-long loan deal from Sassuolo short in January.

However, in a new update shared on X (25 December), DOOD revealed that the West Midlands outfit will allow their new head coach to make the call on the midfielder.

Uros Racic given second chance at The Hawthorns by West Brom

This news comes after it emerged that Lewis Dobbin is set to return to Aston Villa in January [West Brom Extra].

Racic, therefore, appears to have benefited from Carlos Corberan’s move to Valencia, with the Baggies now giving him a second chance at The Hawthorns.

The 26-year-old has started eight Championship games since arriving on loan from Sassuolo in August, making another 10 appearances as a substitute.

However, there seem to be doubts about his ability to make a significant impact on the team.

Racic will now have a clean slate at Albion and it remains to be seen if he can stake his claim to be a regular starter under their new boss.

He is expected to be in the Baggies’ matchday squad when they visit Derby County on Boxing Day (Thursday, 26 December).

In other West Brom news, a new David Moyes to The Hawthorns update has emerged.
