Lewis Dobbin transfer: Lepkowski amazed by developments at West Brom
Chris Lepkowski is “amazed” at the prospect of Lewis Dobbin signing for a new club after his West Brom struggles.
The journalist can’t get his head around the fact that another Championship outfit would want to pursue the 21-year-old’s signature ahead of a possible return to Aston Villa.
The Baggies signed the forward on loan from the Villans in the summer, but are expected to cut short his stint in January, and he now has interest from elsewhere [Express & Star, 1 January].
Lepkowski wrote on his personal X account (1 January): “Amazed that any clubs would look at his performances for us and think, ‘Yep, he would be a great signing’.”

Karlan Grant has stepped up to the plate in the current campaign, but the Baggies evidently need more firepower in the final third.
