West Brom Under-21s' match against Everton on Friday has been postponed due to a frozen pitch, according to Joe Thomas.

The Liverpool ECHO journalist reported via his personal X account (10 January) that the two sides were set to face off with one another on Friday evening but, due to the adverse weather conditions, it isn't safe to do so.

The game on 10 January was supposed to be played at Solihull Moors but will now be played at a later date.

West Brom Under-21s need to get things back on track

While the Baggies' senior squad may have done well this season, the same can't be said for their Under-21s.

They currently sit 20th in the Premier League 2 and only have a four-point gap between themselves and the bottom three spots.

While players such as Harry Whitwell have been afforded a chance to feature on the first-team bench and even in the odd game here and there, it feels like more should be coming from the rest of the team.

At the moment, it's unclear where the Baggies' next major youth prospect is going to come from and for now, at least, it feels like it's going to stay that way.

Only time will tell what the future holds but unless they manage to pick things up, everything could start taking a turn for the worse sooner than they may think.

Which, if we're being honest, is the last thing that anyone in the club wants to happen.
