West Brom next manager: Tony Mowbray odds slashed after bombshell update
Tony Mowbray’s odds to become the next manager of West Brom have been slashed again after the latest update from the Hawthorns.
SkyBet’s odds (17 January) have plummeted to as low as 1/7 as of Friday morning, having previously fallen to a 1/2.
At one stage, the bookmaker had even suspended betting on Mowbray being the next man through the door to replace Carlos Corberan at the Baggies.
It comes in the wake of Telegraph reporter John Percy stating late on Thursday evening in a bombshell update that Mowbray could make his return as Albion boss in time for Saturday’s clash with Stoke City at The Hawthorns.
Tony Mowbray West Brom appointment imminent
Mowbray is an extremely popular figure among the Albion figure having led the Baggies to the Premier League in the 2007-08 season.
The 61-year-old is ready to return to football management after leaving his previous job at Birmingham City having being diagnosed with bowel cancer.

Albion had been set to appoint Raphael Wicky but the deal to bring in the Swiss coach fell through due to issues with his backroom team.
Rene Hake, a former assistant boss at Manchester United when Erik ten Hag was in charge, was also a front-runner but now it appears Mowbray’s return is imminent.
