Diangana axed, one debut given – West Brom predicted XI v Sheffield Wednesday
Tony Mowbray could hand out one debut for West Brom in four changes as they prepare to face Sheffield Wednesday in Championship action.
Following on from the Baggies’ disappointing 2-1 defeat against Plymouth, Mowbray could make four changes to his starting 11 in an attempt to right the wrongs from Home Park.
West Brom had a hectic transfer deadline day that ended with the loan capture of Adam Armstrong with him being just one of several players who could make their debut against Sheffield Wednesday, although he may have to wait for that opportunity off the bench.
Tony Mowbray to hand out West Brom debut v Sheffield Wednesday
Mowbray will be forced into at least one change to his defensive lineup that started against Plymouth, though could opt to make an additional one from a tactical perspective.
Goalkeeper Alex Palmer departed The Hawthorns at the latter stages of the window meaning Josh Griffiths will likely be asked to step up in his place for the remainder of the season.
Kyle Bartley could come back into defence, replacing Torbjorn Heggem in an otherwise unchanged back four with Mason Holgate, Callum Styles and Darnell Furlong.
Isaac Price is expected to make his full debut since signing for the club, having been restricted to just substitute appearances so far, with Alex Mowatt partnering him in a two-man midfield.
Mikey Johnston struggled to influence proceedings at Home Park but should retain his place on the left flank with Tom Fellows doing similar on the opposite side.

Mowbray could completely switch up his attacking lineup for the clash having been able to secure some reinforcements throughout the window.
Karlan Grant could be reinstated to the starting 11 with Will Lankshear handed his debut since arriving on loan from Tottenham.
Armstrong is likely to be involved in some capacity but given the late nature of the deadly to bring him to the Midlands, it’s unlikely he will be thrown into the deep end this soon.
Tammer Bany is another who is likely to be involved but similar to Armstrong, any inclusion is likely to be among the substitutes.
In other West Brom news, Don Goodman revealed that he would “never, ever do” what Baggies fans did in the last encounter at The Hawthorns.
