Will Lankshear calls West Brom teammate ‘the best player in the world’
Will Lankshear has struggled since joining West Brom on loan from Tottenham.
The 19-year-old has featured for just 237 minutes in nine Championship appearances and is yet to score his first goal for Albion.
However, he will be hoping to make an impact as the Baggies fight for a playoff place in the final few weeks of the campaign.

Lankshear makes Heggem admission
Torbjorn Heggem swooped up both the players’ Player of the Year and the supporters’ award at the Baggies’ end-of-season ceremony.
In a social media video release by the Black Country club (15 April), the squad were asked to say something nice about the Norwegian.
Lankshear labelled the 26-year-old as “the best player in the world.”

West Brom need to hold onto Heggem
While Lankshear’s comment is a bit of the top, Heggem’s impact on the Baggies has been phenomenal since his arrival last summer even if he is not the best in the world.
The five-cap international has made 39 appearances in the second tier in a great debut campaign in English football and will be crucial as Albion try to secure their playoff berth.
Mowbray‘s side have a favourable list of fixtures in their final four matches with a trip to Coventry (18 April) that could swing things in their favour if they secure victory.
The Hawthorns outfit then face three relegation strugglers with Derby, Cardiff and Luton in their final three and will fancy their chances of a top-six finish.
It is hardly a surprise that Heggem won the fan-voted award, given the fact that he was the heavy favourite when the Midlands club announced the voting back in early April.
He may attract interest from bigger clubs in the summer due to his excellent performances this season but Albion must keep hold of their rising star, whether they are in the Premier League or still in the second division.
They need him in the spine of the team if they are to secure promotion back to the top-flight anytime soon, selling him would be ridiculous considering his impact on the pitch and off it.
