West Brom next manager: Major update shared on Sean Dyche appointment
West Brom parted ways with manager Tony Mowbray this week after a dismal recent run, and are now looking for his successor.
The Baggies brought Mowbray back to the club after the mid-season departure of Carlos Corberan, but his dream return became a nightmare as he could not inspire West Brom to reach the play-offs.
West Brom fell apart in recent months and are set to miss out on a play-off place, which has led to Mowbray’s exit.
Former Burnley and Everton manager Sean Dyche has now been linked as his replacement, but as it stands a move now looks unlikely.

Dyche not in West Brom line of sight
Dyche has been out of work since being sacked by Everton in January, but West Brom are seemingly not interested in him as Mowbray’s replacement as things stand.
That’s according to transfer expert Graeme Bailey, who has told Everton News (24 April) that Dyche is not among the names currently being considered for the job at The Hawthorns.

“Not from what I’m hearing, but I haven’t heard his name come up with many of the Championship sides, to be fair. It doesn’t mean they’re not in for him,” he stated.
With Leicester City also set to compete in the Championship next season, Bailey added that Dyche currently is not in their thinking either.
“I’d be surprised if Leicester moved for him. I don’t think he’s got an awful lot of suitors at the moment, but things can change,” he added.

Would Dyche be good for West Brom?
Dyche has plenty of experience in the Premier League and Championship, and has led Burnley to promotion on several occasions.
His style typically sees his teams prioritise a defensive system, and often master low-blocks to snatch results against better sides.
This football became turgid at Everton, which eventually led to his downfall, but it could be a different story for him in the Championship.
Some West Brom fans may not be on board with the idea of returning to a Tony Pulis-style team, with physically robust players and a defensive mindset, but this could be what the Baggies need to seal promotion next season, and Dyche would bring a wealth of knowledge to a team attempting to play that way.
