Ryan Mason appointment ‘now closer at West Brom’ as talks update shared
West Brom’s hunt for their next manager may be edging closer to completion after the latest update on Ryan Mason.
Since sacking Tony Mowbray ahead of the final few games of the season, West Brom have been on the lookout for the next manager who can achieve a top-six finish at The Hawthorns.
Several names have been linked with the Albion job, including that of Tottenham coach Mason, who, as it stands, will have his focus on adding his side to Europa League glory.
John Mousinho is another to have been linked, but sources close to The Hawthorns have provided an update on the appointment of Mason.

West Brom could be close to appointing Mason
Teams in the Championship have found a lot of success through the appointment of Premier League coaches, with Kieran McKenna perhaps the best example of that.
Albeit now set for a drop back into the Championship, McKenna led Ipswich to back-to-back promotions from League One, and West Brom may look to repeat that success with the appointment of Mason.

According to DOOD, the appointment of Mason is “more likely” to happen the longer the current search goes on at The Hawthorns.
Talks are said to have been held with his agent two weeks ago, but the Spurs coach was believed to be fully focused on Tottenham’s Europa League campaign.

West Brom need quick resolution to manager search
With the season over and players on holiday, work will be underway behind the scenes to get West Brom prepared for another Championship campaign.
However, many of those plans will be put on hold until a manager is in place, and it is imperative that a decision is made before pre-season gets underway.
Whoever comes in will need time to install their style of play, while working with the Baggies’ recruitment team to ensure that they have the players to succeed in the Championship, something which may not have been the case for a few seasons.
