Bilkul ‘set for major Ryan Mason call’ as West Brom interest emerges
Tottenham assistant manager Ryan Mason could potentially be part of a significant decision by Bilkul Football at West Brom.
Shilen Patel must appoint a new manager at the Baggies soon as the upcoming transfer window is set to commence.
Tony Mowbray failed to replace Carlos Corberan, and despite initial approval from the fanbase, his sacking was inevitable after the Albion didn’t make the Championship play-offs.
Mason has emerged as a candidate at The Hawthorns, and the West Midlands outfit’s owners may be making a massive call in the coming weeks.

West Brom were interested in Mason in January, Bilkul to take gamble with appointment
Bilukil would be making a big call by appointing Mason, who hasn’t had experience as a first-team manager, Lewis Cox says.
The Express & Star journalist revealed that the Black Country outfit did have the Tottenham assistant manager on their radar when Corberan left.

Cox believes the 33-year-old’s appointment would seemingly be a gamble as he hasn’t been a permanent head coach before.
Speaking on Baggies Broadcast (14 May), the journalist said: “If you’re going to offer him his first permanent head coach stint, that’s a big call for someone who hasn’t done it before.
“It’d be a big call from Bilkul. Although I do gather and understand they did have a look, not sure how strongly, at Mason in January. So this isn’t out of the blue. There was potentially something there before.”

Patel must be prudent with next appointment at The Hawthorns
Bilkul’s actions at The Hawthorns since taking over have encouraged fans, with the Baggies’ financial issues being slowly solved.
The Americans have brought stability back to the Albion, and there were signs of progress being made before Corberan’s exit.
The Spanish manager’s exit to Valencia somewhat derailed Patel’s plans, and the appointment of Mowbray turned out to be the wrong call in hindsight.
West Brom have been linked with Mason and several other managers in recent weeks, and Bilkul must be prudent with who they appoint next.
Their decision with the ex-Birmingham City head coach didn’t pay off, and another wrong call will lead to fans questioning the owners’ abilities.
The Hawthorns faithful weren’t pleased with the Baggies’ business in the winter transfer window, as Alex Palmer was sold and an adequate replacement for Josh Maja wasn’t signed.
Not only does Patel need to get the managerial appointment spot on, but he arguably needs to invest in the squad and ensure they can compete for Premier League promotion next season.
