West Brom make big John Swift announcement
John Swift had a miserable season at West Brom.
Albion finished the 2024/25 season in ninth place, despite threatening the Championship play-off places under their previous head coach Carlos Corberan.
Corberan left the club in December for his boyhood club, Valencia who he comfortably led to safety in La Liga despite the club sitting in the relegation zone when he arrived.
His former club has not performed since his departure, with his replacement, Tony Mowbray, winning just five of his 17 games in charge of the club, which led to his sacking in April.
West Brom are now managerless and face a huge rebuild in the summer, with 14 players being released.

Three West Brom regulars out the door
West Brom published their retained list on their official website on Tuesday.
It was announced that 14 players would be released from The Hawthorns, with three first-team regulars among them.
Among those going are experienced trio Grady Diangana, Swift, and Semi Ajayi, who all had contrasting West Brom careers.
Diangana joined the club, having impressed for Albion on loan in the 2019/20 season. He then joined the club in a permanent deal, but has failed to find his form from his debut season.
Playmaker Swift has failed to find his feet this season, having contributed just three goals. The 29-year-old managed nine last season and had been expected to perform better this season.
Experienced defender Ajayi joined in the summer of 2019 and has gone on to play 177 times for the Baggies.

A potential new look Albion side heading into next season
Heading into the summer managerless, without three Championship mainstays, and the threat of losing talisman Tom Fellows, West Brom are expected to have a huge rebuild ahead of next season.
One month on from Mowbray’s sacking, Albion are still in the hunt for a new manager. QPR boss Martin Cifuentes was previously linked to the job, but it has since emerged he is not on the club’s shortlist.
Portsmouth’s John Mousinho has also been linked, but the Baggies still look no closer to appointing a new manager.
With the club’s current instability, it is looking like an important summer for Albion that could make or break their 2025/26 campaign.
