West Brom hierarchy hailed over ‘genuine rumours’ about next manager at The Hawthorns
West Brom’s managerial hunt has been the talk of The Hawthorns for over a month.
Despite the Baggies being on the hunt for Tony Mowbray’s successor since April, it is still unclear who the Black Country club will appoint.
Ryan Mason has been heavily linked to West Brom, yet the upcoming coach is still at Tottenham after their Europa League win.
Questions are now being asked about when an appointment is likely at The Hawthorns, with the end of May now approaching.

Steve Hermon impressed by West Brom process
Despite the growing frustrations in the fanbase, BBC Radio WM reporter Steve Hermon has praised West Brom for their hiring process.
Throughout the last month, few details have come out about the search, with even less substantial names linked.
While it is no doubt taking a long time to find Mowbray’s successor, it is believed that the hierarchy wants to avoid another rushed appointment where the Black Country club clearly got it wrong.
As a result, Hermon has hailed the Baggies for keeping the “genuine rumours” surrounding the search to a minimum.
He told BBC Sport (23 May): “The hierarchy have done a good job of keeping genuine rumours to a minimum this time, which has perhaps caused some of the impatience, but we could now be approaching the final days of the search and hopefully fans will have reason to be excited for the next campaign.”

Patience is running out for West Brom’s managerial search
While it is good that the Baggies have not rushed into making an appointment, if one isn’t made soon, it will be concerning.
As the wait goes on, pressure is mounting from the fanbase to confirm who will be in charge next season.
As a result, West Brom’s owner, Shilen Patel, is under even more pressure to ensure that the appointment is right, or they face further backlash.
Over the next week, there has to be a clear candidate that West Brom are planning to appoint, or they risk being underprepared for the new season.
Hopefully, once football in England comes to an end this weekend, steps will be clearly taken to bring in a new manager.
Ryan Mason would be ideal after his recent success at Tottenham, and if it is going to happen, surely news will break next week.
