‘West Brom eye £3m pure profit’ as they get ready to accept Caleb Taylor deal
Caleb Taylor’s West Brom future has been highly speculated upon in recent days.
The 22-year-old has progressed through the Baggies’ academy and just missed out on promotion to the Championship last season on loan to Wycombe Wanderers.
Nevertheless, the centre-back impressed at the Chairboys and played 38 times in all competitions.
Now, Taylor could be set to depart West Brom this summer.

West Brom would accept £3m bid for Taylor amid Millwall interest
Now back at West Brom, The Hawthorns faithful are hopeful that their academy product is given a chance in the first team this campaign.
Ryan Mason looked set to give Taylor a chance to impress in pre-season. However, these plans could now be scrapped.
Reports suggested that West Brom had rejected a bid from Millwall for Taylor.
Now, Baggies insider DOOD has stated on X (28 June) that Mason values the defender at £3 million, and a bid matching this would be accepted.

While it would no doubt be a big loss for West Brom to lose an academy player with such potential, there is a silver lining if Taylor does leave.
The £3m earned by the Baggies would be pure profit and would help the Black Country club long-term.
As a result, West Brom would have more freedom in the transfer market, which could prove to be the key to a Premier League return.
Mason must immediately reinvest any incoming funds
Whether Taylor does depart or not, West Brom must reinvest the funds of any players that do leave The Hawthorns for a fee this summer.
The end of the 2024/25 campaign proved that multiple players are simply not good enough to mount a consistent promotion push, which ultimately proved costly.
Despite the strength of the sides coming into the division, there is a real opportunity to win promotion in the upcoming season.
Southampton were poor in the Premier League and it could take a while to find their form. On top of this, a points deduction is possible for Leicester City amid alleged PSR breaches.
Mason could take advantage of this and gain promotion. Therefore, reinvestment is a must to achieve this.
