Reyes Cleary posts farewell on Snapchat
Reyes Cleary, who is out of contract at the end of June, appears to be saying his farewell to the Baggies, given his recent post on Snapchat.
The 21-year-old wrote: “All good things come to an end” with an image of him in a West Brom jersey.
Cleary emerged as a prodigious talent at the club’s academy, drawing comparisons to a young Romelu Lukaku for his physique, speed and goal-scoring instinct.

By age 17, he had scored an impressive 35 goals across Under-18 and Under-23 competitions in the 2021/22 season, including 19 goals in 17 appearances and a Premier League 2 Player of the Month nomination.
This prolific form attracted Bayern Munich, who sent scouts to watch Cleary, alongside interest from Arsenal, Dortmund, and Newcastle.
West Brom did not see Cleary live up to his potential
Despite West Brom offering a professional contract, Cleary initially hesitated, leading to speculation of a move abroad.
He eventually signed a two-year deal in 2022 but struggled to break into the first team, making only seven senior appearances, including a debut in the 2022 FA Cup.
Loan spells at Walsall and Hartlepool United in 2024/25 yielded limited impact, with just one goal at Hartlepool.
Injuries, a lack of first-team composure and competition hindered his progress.
While his potential remains, Cleary’s failure to secure a regular senior role at West Brom reflects the challenges of transitioning from youth to professional football.
