David Brooks to ‘complete West Brom medical’ as final transfer update emerges
David Brooks has long been linked with West Brom this summer.
The Bournemouth star returned to the pitch in 2023 after recovering from Stage 2 Hodgkin lymphoma.
Since then, he has helped Southampton win promotion to the Premier League while on loan but has struggled to recover a first-team spot at the Cherries.
Therefore, West Brom have been linked with Brooks as he looks to recover his previous form.

‘Brooks set to become a West Brom player’
Since Ryan Mason got the Baggies job, the Black Country club has been quite in the transfer market.
Nat Phillips is West Brom’s only signing to date, with the defender joining from Liverpool.
However, this now looks to change in the coming days, with Brooks set to move to The Hawthorns.
According to Baggies insider, Talkwba (30 June), the Welsh international is currently completing a medical at West Brom ahead of a move to the Black Country club.
Talks have been ongoing for days, and they have now entered the final stages.
It then goes on to say, barring any late hiccups, “Brooks looks set to be a new Albion player.”
Brooks is a statement of intent from Mason
Promotion to the Premier League is no doubt the aim for Mason this season. Now, the impending addition of Brooks is certainly a statement of intent.
The 27-year-old will no doubt be one of the best players in the Championship this season and has plenty of experience within the top two tiers.

Now, this could help Mason attract more quality signings across the transfer window, as other players may be excited by Mason’s ambitious project.
With West Brom needing reinforcements all over the pitch, hopefully, the Baggies will be able to bring in stars of similar quality to Brooks.
If so, the Baggies will no doubt be one of the favourites to win promotion this campaign.
