West Brom agree Eseosa Sule loan exit days after new contract announcement
West Brom, like every other team in the Championship, know that goals can steer you to the Premier League.
Last season, Leeds United’s Joel Piroe finished with the Golden Boot after bagging 19 league goals for the champions.
The Baggies had a goalscorer of their own in Josh Maja, who netted 12 goals despite significant time on the sidelines.
Now, after signing new contract terms following a successful year in front goal, Eseosa Sule will get his chance to prove that at senior level elsewhere.

Motherwell set to seal loan for West Brom forward
Maja was missing from West Brom’s recent training as concerns grew over his fitness and his Baggies’ future.
However, the 26-year-old has been on a personal training programme to get him fully fit for the new Championship season.
West Brom had been heavily linked with a move for Lawrence Shankland, but he has committed his future to Hearts.
While Ryan Mason will be looking to add firepower up front, it seems he is willing to let one of his younger strikers leave.
That is because Motherwell are set to capture Sule on loan, according to the Daily Record (3 July).
Eseosa Sule’s 2024/25 Premier League 2 statistics | Total |
Appearances (starts) | 18 (12) |
Goals | 9 |
Assists | 1 |
The Scottish outlet claims that the 19-year-old will seal a deal at Fir Park until the end of the 2025/26 season after just signing a new two-year contract.
Sule joined The Hawthorns club from Celtic in January 2023 and bagged nine goals in 18 games in the Premier League 2.
The teenager was chased by Newcastle and Lyon before signing a new long-term deal with the Baggies.

Mason must add competition for Maja and Daryl Dike
Although Maja is capable of leading the West Brom line, his fitness record must be considered.
When he was absent last season, the Baggies found it difficult to score goals, and they cannot face that same problem next term.
Of course, there is Daryl Dike, but like Maja, he has suffered extended spells on the treatment table.
Having missed out on Shankland, the West Midlands club must press on with fresh targets if they are to challenge for the top six, with Sule needing to prove himself elsewhere first.
