How many games Daryl Dike will now miss for West Brom after latest injury blow
Daryl Dike is injured yet again for West Brom.
Dike, 25, has been ravaged by injury issues ever since he arrived at The Hawthorns in 2022, only playing 59 Championship games in that time frame.
The American has now picked up a thigh injury, with Ryan Mason leaving him out of the lineup for the friendly loss to Lincoln and win against Rayo Vallecano.
Dike had led the line for the Baggies this summer during pre-season, and his latest injury is a massive blow to Mason.

West Brom to cope without Dike once again
The striker is set to be out for the start of the new season through injury, with his return scheduled for after the first international break in September.
That would rule Dike out of the first four Championship fixtures, as well as the first round of the Carabao Cup against Derby County at The Hawthorns.
The American will also miss the second round of the League Cup, should West Brom make it past the Rams in round one.
In the Championship, Dike will miss home games against Blackburn Rovers and Portsmouth, while missing trips to newly-promoted Wrexham and Stoke City.
Championship games Dike is set to miss:
- Blackburn (h)
- Wrexham (a)
- Portsmouth (h)
- Stoke (a)
It goes without saying it is a big blow for West Brom, while the player himself will no doubt be devastated.

West Brom cannot rely on Dike
The 25-year-old arrived with a lot of hype in 2022 after a successful loan spell at Barnsley, but the move has been a nightmare for both parties.
The Baggies cannot rely on Dike given his injury history, and the move to bring in Aune Heggebo has already proved fruitful given the American’s most recent knock.
Year | Injury | Games missed |
2024-25 | Achilles | 52 |
2023-24 | Achilles | 40 |
2022 | Thigh | 22 |
2022 | Hamstring | 14 |
If the striker cannot sort his conditioning out quickly, his spell at The Hawthorns surely has to come to an end, for everyone’s sake.
