Eseola Sule returns to West Brom amid crushing news after being left out by Motherwell

West Brom starlet Eseosa Sule has suffered a new injury blow.

The 19-year-old was on loan at Motherwell as he looked to get first-team football in an attempt to impress Ryan Mason.

The former Celtic academy ace had started three of the Well’s four Scottish League Cup matches after joining in July.

However, he is now set for a spell on the sidelines, which is terrible news for the player and both clubs.

Sule returns to West Brom amid fresh injury news

Sule was absent from the Motherwell squad for the Rangers clash (2 August), which sparked concerns, but the situation has now been clarified.

West Brom confirmed that he will return to the Black Country to begin the rehabilitation process via a post on X (6 August).

The statement released by the Baggies states that Sule will return to the Scottish Premiership outfit once he is back from injury.

West Brom will hope Sule can recover quickly

It is absolutely vital that Sule is playing regularly at this point in his career, that is why he was allowed to leave The Hawthorns this summer.

If he is to develop the way that Albion hope and eventually forge a role in the starting line-up, like Tom Fellows and Josh Griffiths have done, then he needs to be on the pitch.

The young star is highly rated in the West Midlands after notching nine goals and three assists in the youth ranks last season, and signed a new deal at West Brom before he was sent out on loan.

The latest setback is a crushing blow, and depending on how long he is out of action, it could have significant repercussions in the future.

The Throstles will hope that it is not too serious and he can return to the Scottish side as soon as possible and get minutes under his belt, which is crucial at his age if he is to turn into a star in the Black Country.

At least supporters now have clarity on the situation involving the promising attacker, rather than the radio silence, which had been the case previously.
