Joe Wildsmith axed in four Ryan Mason changes – West Brom predicted XI vs Wrexham
Ryan Mason could be about to make several changes as he looks to avenge the Carabao Cup exit that West Brom suffered in midweek.
The B71 outfit conceded late on, before losing the subsequent penalty shootout to Derby County, in what was a frustrating evening at The Hawthorns.
Isaac Price produced another intelligent display for West Brom, while Aune Heggebo netted his first goal for the club in another notable positive.
However, Mason and his men will be hoping for a much better result this weekend, and with that in mind, West Brom News predicts the Baggies’ lineup for Saturday’s trip to Wrexham.

Wildsmith replaced amid four Baggies changes
West Brom were left to rue Joe Wildsmith’s error on Tuesday night, as he allowed Joe Ward to net a free-kick from an impossible angle to allow his former employers a route back into the tie.
Wildsmith is likely to be made to pay for his lapse in concentration at the weekend, with Josh Griffiths expected to come straight back in and regain his place between the posts.
Youngster Alex Williams caught the eye on Tuesday night, but with Darnell Furlong having now served his suspension, he will surely come back in from the start.
Elsewhere in the side, George Campbell should keep his place alongside Nat Phillips at the heart of the backline, as Torbjorn Heggem’s move to Bologna is set to go through imminently.
Jayson Molumby should come back into the midfield, while Heggebo will lead the line once again as he goes in search of his first Championship goal.

Albion will be desperate to maintain solid start
West Brom got their Championship campaign off to a perfect start with a win against Blackburn on the opening day of the season, and they will be desperate to continue that in North Wales at the weekend.
Phil Parkinson’s side conceded twice in stoppage time to fall to defeat in Southampton in their first outing, before reversing that feat to eventually beat Hull on penalties in the Carabao Cup.
- This is Wrexham’s first season in the second tier in over 40 seasons
- They have lost just five league home games in the last three seasons
- West Brom have never played Wrexham in a league encounter
They may be playing their first second-tier campaign since 1982, but the Red Dragons simply cannot be underestimated, especially on home turf.
Wrexham have had an exceptional home record at every level in the last few seasons, and the Racecourse Ground will continue to be a difficult place to go in the Championship.
Nevertheless, Mason’s side will fancy their chances of coming away with something to show for their efforts, and a win would be ideal to help maintain their positive start to the league campaign.
