Ex-Man United forward calls West Brom star ‘the best’ after 3-2 win v Wrexham
West Brom have gotten off to a flying start so far under Ryan Mason in the Championship.
There were some doubts within the fanbase regarding Mason, particularly after some dodgy results in pre-season, but the Baggies boss looks to have put those worries to bed for the time being.
Albion’s only competitive defeat so far under Mason came in the EFL Cup, where they lost on penalties to Derby in a game they were largely in control of; however, this may have been a blessing in disguise.
At the heart of everything positive for West Brom this season has been Isaac Price, who has started the campaign on fire.

Noah Ohio wowed by Isaac Price in West Brom’s latest win
Price has registered at least one goal contribution in each of Albion’s three competitive games to start the season, with the 21-year-old flourishing in the number ten role.
- Price has three goals and one assist in three matches to start the new term
The Northern Irishman most recently scored a brace either side of Jed Wallace’s goal as West Brom picked a chaotic and valuable 3-2 win on the road against Wrexham.
Following the game, West Brom shared a post on their Instagram account on Sunday as Price was named the player of the match.
Former Manchester United and current FC Utrecht attacker Noah Ohio was full of praise for the Albion ace, labelling him “the best” in the comment section.
Price could be the man to fire West Brom into the play-offs
West Brom were already tipped to finish in the top six before a ball was kicked this season, but that bet looks to be even better value following their first two league games.
If Price can continue this fine form, then he could be the jewel in the crown for Mason’s side, who are aiming to restore Albion’s Premier League status.
Price is not the only West Brom attacker to be in fine form, however, with Mikey Johnston picking up two assists in his cameo appearance off the bench against Wrexham, further proving that his failed move to Flamengo will not hinder the winger’s campaign moving forward.
