Ryan Mason has just said this about Isaac Price possibly leaving West Brom
West Brom may have a new hero at The Hawthorns in Isaac Price.
Price has thrived under Ryan Mason this season, scoring a brace in the 3-2 win over Wrexham in the Championship on 16 August.
Tony Brown has hailed Price after his performance at Y Cae Ras, and compared the 21-year-old’s game to how he used to play during a 17-year stint at the Albion.
The Baggies may be worried about the prospect of top teams already monitoring the midfielder’s situation in B71, and the English manager has provided an update on the youngster’s future.

Price expected to stay at West Brom
Mason is confident Price will be at the Baggies in the ongoing transfer window.
The former Tottenham assistant head coach seems to be delighted with the group of players he has at The Hawthorns and dismissed talks of possible bids being made this summer.
With the Northern Irishman starting the season on the front foot, it wouldn’t be surprising to see speculation around his future, but the English manager believes the midfielder will stay at The Hawthorns.
Asked about thoughts on any possible bids, head coach Mason said on 16 August: “No, my focus is on the players that I’ve got now. I have so much belief in everyone inside the training ground and the group at the moment. Obviously, Isaac’s started well, but we’re positive he’ll be with us.”

Mason has unlocked Price abilities at The Hawthorns
Price has been likened to Kevin De Bruyne, and his performances in the number 10 role this season arguably justify those claims.
The 21-year-old featured in multiple positions all across the pitch in the previous campaign and was unable to showcase the full extent of his abilities.
Now with three goals in two Championship fixtures, Mason seems to have found the formula to get the best out of the Northern Ireland national.
- The Baggies signed Price for £2.5million in January 2025 from Standard Liege.
- Last season, the 21-year-old had one goal and one assist in the Championship.
- Mason seems to have unlocked the full potential of the Northern Irishman.
Price was the best player on the pitch for West Brom against Wrexham and bagged the Man of the Match award.
Despite the Baggies’ defeat against Derby in the Carabao Cup on 12 August, the 21-year-old midfielder stood out as he provided an assist.
The Hawthorns faithful wouldn’t want to see the youngster leave before the end of August as he could potentially be a catalyst for their return to the Premier League.
