West Brom fans raise Krystian Bielik concern ahead of West Brom clash vs Portsmouth
West Brom are set to face Portsmouth at The Hawthorns in Ryan Mason’s third Championship game in charge.
Mason has got off to a fantastic start as Albion boss, leading them to wins over Blackburn and Wrexham.
Whilst West Brom’s attack has looked impressive so far this season, with the likes of Aune Heggebo and Isaac Price producing standout performances, their defence was shown to be vulnerable in their trip to Wales when they conceded two goals to Wrexham.
With George Campbell looking shaky at times during the game, many anticipated Krystian Bielik to get the nod to face Portsmouth.

Krystian Bielik out of West Brom squad for clash with Portsmouth
Mikey Johnston’s two assists off the bench in Albion’s last game made it a no-brainer for him to get the nod from Mason to start on the wing.
Bielik was expected to start in the heart of defence alongside Nat Phillips as Mason looked to sure his side up, but this is not the case as the Polish defender was absent from the squad.
This news came as a surprise to West Brom supporters, with there being no prior knowledge of a potential injury that Bielik was dealing with.
With the lineup being released before West Brom’s clash with Portsmouth, the Albion supporters reacted to the news on X, with some evidently being confused if this was a tactical decision on Mason’s end.
West Brom should still have enough to beat Portsmouth
Despite Campbell being dispossessed in a dangerous area against Wrexham, the American defender will only improve the more he continues to play and strengthen his defensive partnership with Phillips.
Anyway, West Brom should have too much quality going forward to make the absence of Bielik a concern, with the Baggies more than capable of scoring multiple goals against Pompey given the quality they have in their ranks in the final third.
Supporters will be curious as to the reason for Bielik’s absence, and Mason will likely address the issue after the game.
