Dane Scarlett and ex-Newcastle defender – Three players West Brom could sign after transfer update

West Brom remain in the market for more reinforcements before the 1 September deadline.

Ryan Mason was left furious in West Brom’s draw with Portsmouth, though he will have been pleased with the latest update that emerged from The Hawthorns.

It’s claimed that West Brom could sign three more players in the next six days, with an attacker, left-back and centre-back potentially on the cards.

With that in mind, West Brom News takes a look at who could make the move to The Hawthorns in the final few days of the transfer window.

Dane Scarlett would be a good addition for West Brom

Mason has failed to use his Tottenham connections so far this summer, but he could have a chance to do that before transfer deadline day.

After failing to bring Mikey Moore to The Hawthorns, Albion could turn their attention to his Spurs teammate Dane Scarlett.

Scarlett spent the last campaign on loan at Oxford United, which is where Will Lankshear will be playing his football this season.

The 21-year-old has featured five times for Tottenham already this season, but Thomas Frank could sanction his exit if there are guarantees over minutes.

Jamal Lewis could provide excellent depth

Formerly of Newcastle United, Jamal Lewis is currently a free agent, having made just six appearances at Sao Paulo last year.

Prior to that, the 27-year-old featured 37 times for Watford in the Championship.

Given the need for attacking reinforcements, West Brom will not blow much of their budget on a new left-back, and he could be an excellent option to add depth and experience to this Albion squad.

West Brom had been linked with Lewis back in July, and could yet reignite that interest in the next couple of days.

Filip Beckman could replace Caleb Taylor

West Brom are only said to be in for another centre-back if one leaves, and with Caleb Taylor potentially on his way out, that would see those efforts accelerated.

Filip Beckman has been linked with a move to The Hawthorns, and the 22-year-old would be another shrewd signing.

Beckman currently plays his trade in Sweden, but a move to England and in particular the Championship, could appeal to him if he has ambitions of furthering his career.
