Poor weather expected for Stoke vs West Brom

The weather forecast for the contest does not make for great reading for fans heading to the game.

The Met Office predicts a 70 per cent chance of precipitation between 10:00 am and 13:00, with a wind gust around the 30mph mark.

The temperature is not too bad, at around 16 degrees, but it will feel more like 13 according to the latest forecast.

Humidity will be between 83 and 90 per cent, which could prove to be quite uncomfortable for supporters and players.

Travel information

The Bet365 Stadium is located on Stanley Matthews Way, Stoke-on-Trent, with a postcode of ST4 4EG.

Stoke’s stadium is only 39 miles away from West Bromwich, so supporters who are travelling by car need to take the A50 and exit at the final slip road.

From there, take the third exit at the first roundabout before again taking the third exit at the second one to reach the main entrance.

Stoke-on-Trent railway station is on the West Coast Main Line, and trains between Birmingham New Street and Stoke run directly.

The station is approximately a 40-minute walk to the stadium, exiting the station at Platform 1 and continuing towards Glebe Street.

Supporters must then exit Glebe Street on the left onto Wharf Place and join the National Cycle Route 5 path, before heading south and exiting just after the Stoke-on-Trent recycling centre.

They must then cross the bridges over the canal and railway lines to get to the ground.

If travelling by bus, the number 20 service runs from Stand N at the Stoke-on-Trent City Centre Bus Station, but also stops at the train station en route to the stadium.
