This is how much West Brom are paying as Chris Mepham transfer announced
West Brom have announced the anticipated transfer of Chris Mepham.
Mepham featured in both games against West Brom while on loan with Sunderland last season, with the Mackems drawing the first fixture before winning 1-0 at The Hawthorns.
Supporters will be hoping that the signing of the 27-year-old can kickstart a strong end to the transfer window for Ryan Mason.
West Brom have been careful with their finances this summer, and the amount that they are paying Bournemouth for Mepham shows just how much of a bargain they are getting.

West Brom will pay £1.5million package for Chris Mepham
West Brom sold Torbjorn Heggem to Bologna, leaving them in need of a new centre back.
With Caleb Taylor closing in on an imminent move to Millwall, Mepham appears to be his replacement and has been confirmed already.
At just 27, the Wales international brings with him a wealth of experience internationally, in the Premier League, and in the second tier.
According to talkSPORT journalist Alex Crook, West Brom are paying Bournemouth £1million plus £500,000 in add-ons for Mepham.
- Mepham kept 12 clean sheets in 40 games for Sunderland last season
- Sunderland had the fourth-best defence in the Championship last season
The fee is a bargain for a defender who has managed two promotions to the Premier League with Sunderland and Bournemouth, and he will be hoping to do the same at West Brom.
West Brom faced competition from Rangers for Mepham, but Mason will be happy to have won the race for the defender.
Mason has also been eyeing a move for Leicester City’s Ben Nelson, and given that Darnell Furlong is closing in on a move to Ipswich, Nelson could soon follow.
What positions will West Brom look to strengthen?
Transfer Deadline Day is right around the corner, and Mason faces a race against time to get his side ready to maintain a promotion push.
The Baggies boss looked to have sorted his defence out by signing Nat Phillips and George Campbell, but a burst of exits means another defender will be prioritised.
Tom Fellows is also closing in on a move to Southampton worth £10million, which will mean a new winger is required at The Hawthorns.
On top of that, issues regarding Daryl Dike’s fitness will surely mean that the Baggies are lining up a move for a new striker.
Mepham is the start of a very busy few days at West Brom.
