Ryan Mason has set ambitious goals at West Brom, and Isaac Price will undoubtedly play a significant role in achieving them.

In January 2025, the Baggies signed the 21-year-old from Standard Liege, and it now looks like the recruitment team pulled off an exceptional deal.

Price has been in exceptional form at The Hawthorns and was rightfully called up to Northern Ireland’s 2026 World Cup qualifying squad for the international break.

With Tom Fellows joining Southampton for £10million in the previous transfer window, all eyes are on the ex-Everton youngster to take the creative reins in B71.

Ryan Mason already has plan for West Brom success

Mason has already shared his vision of how the Baggies can get back into the Premier League, Price says.

The Northern Irish star has revealed that the English manager wants the Albion to play a specific brand of football at The Hawthorns to get a play-offs spot.

With lofty ambitions at the Black Country club, the former Tottenham assistant head has started off on the front foot, winning three of his four Championship games in charge.

Speaking via Belfast Telegraph on 6 September, Price said: “The manager has come in and his mind was clear about what sort of football he wanted to play and how he saw us getting in the top six and getting promoted. There is still a lot more that he wants to work on, and the ambitions are big.”

Isaac Price on 2026 World Cup goals with Northern Ireland

Mason has been able to rely on Price at the Baggies this season, and Michael O’Neill will be hoping for the same from the youngster.

Northern Ireland beat Luxembourg 3-1 on 4 September and find themselves top of the table in Group A of the World Cup Qualifiers.

The Green and White Army will face Germany on 7 September at the RheinEnergieStadion, and Julian Nagelsmann’s team will be hoping to get over their shock defeat against Slovakia in their previous fixture.

Opta’s supercomputer predicts West Brom to get a Championship play-offs spot, but Price would also undoubtedly want to feature in the United States for his country next June.

On Northern Ireland’s World Cup ambitions, the young playmaker said: “Every person here would be lying if they didn’t say they were dying to go to a World Cup. It is the biggest football event there is. If we could get there, it would be unbelievable.”

For now, fans in B71 will hope Price returns to the West Midlands without picking up an injury on international duty, with a massive test in the league against Derby County, who the Albion have already lost to this season in the Carabao Cup.
