Dele Alli transfer boost emerges at West Brom after Alan Sheehan admission

West Brom could potentially have one less obstacle to pull off a transfer for Dele Alli.

The 29-year-old is a free agent after leaving Como and is looking to kickstart his career elsewhere once again.

Alli has been linked with a move to The Hawthorns, with the former Tottenham star free to sign for any club as a free agent.

Ryan Mason lost Tom Fellows to Southampton in the previous transfer window and may have a chance to sign a reinforcement soon.

Swansea City transfer for Dele Alli ruled out amid West Brom links

Swansea City aren’t interested in signing Alli in the foreseeable future, Alan Sheehan says.

The Irish manager confirmed that the Swans won’t be making any attempts to bring the England international to the Swansea.com Stadium amid links of a potential move to The Hawthorns.

It looks like the coast is clear for the Baggies to pursue a deal for the playmaker if they feel the need to add more depth to their midfield in the coming weeks.

Speaking via BBC Sport on 11 September, Sheehan said: “I can rule that out. We’ve done our business, and unless something dramatically changes. Obviously, Alli is a wonderful player, so I don’t want to comment anything on him or where he is or how he’s playing, etc. But look, for Swansea, I would say no right now.”

Isaac Price the saviour for Ryan Mason at The Hawthorns

Isaac Price has started the season impressively at The Hawthorns, with the youngster a massive part of the Albion’s success so far this season.

The Black Country outfit are second in the league table ahead of their game against Derby County at home on 13 September.

Ryan Mason is aiming for Premier League promotion in the current campaign, with Opta’s supercomputer predicting the West Midlands outfit will finish third in the Championship.

West Brom can rely on Price to fill Fellows’ void in the starting lineup, with the Northern Ireland international making the number 10 position his own.

The 21-year-old became the youngest player to score 10 goals for his country after scoring in the 3-1 defeat against Germany on 7 September.

With the Northern Irishman in fine form in B71, there seems to be no need to spend a hefty sum on Alli’s transfer to The Hawthorns.
