West Brom are looking to get back to winning ways when they welcome Leicester City to The Hawthorns.

The Baggies come into this game having lost back-to-back fixtures against Derby County and Middlesbrough.

West Brom sit just outside the playoffs on goal difference despite those defeats and they will be looking to entrench their play-off hopes against the Foxes.

The Baggies had a busy summer, with young incomings such as Samuel Iling-Junior and Alfie Gilchrist, while the Albion will come up against a long-term transfer target on Friday.

Leicester’s Hamza Choudhury was linked to West Brom

Hamza Choudhury was in advanced talks to sign for West Brom back in 2022, but the deal fell through with the midfielder moving on loan to Watford instead.

Choudhury has started three of his five matches for Leicester in the Championship this season, while also scoring in a Carabao Cup loss to Huddersfield.

The Banglesdesh international will have it tough as he faces up against one of the league’s most inform players.

Mikey Johnston could be West Brom dangerman vs Leicester

Mikey Johnston could be a dangerman for West Brom and someone who could really take the game to Leicester.

Johnston has registered one goal and three assists for West Brom so far this season in just five appearances, putting him joint top of the Championship assist chart.

Isaac Price will be top of Leicester’s scouting list with three goals to his name this season, and he could allow space for Johnston to flourish.

West Brom will have it tough against Leicester, but the Foxes have hit a minor blip following consecutive league draws.
