West Brom predicted XI vs Norwich City – Ryan Mason to drop forward, Iling-Junior to start again

Ryan Mason could make the one change to his attack for West Brom as they travel to Norwich City on Wednesday night.

The Baggies gained a point against Leicester City as a late own goal from Nat Phillips gifted the away side a draw at The Hawthorns on Friday.

Now the Black Country outfit will head to East Anglia with hopes of breaking their three-game winless streak.

Albion recorded three wins and a draw from their first four games but have since stumbled and dropped to eighth in the league.

Josh Maja to start up top for West Brom

Josh Maja was linked with moves away in the summer, but the Nigerian stayed put at West Brom and has made five league appearances this season.

Although Aune Heggebo has outperformed Maja when concerning goals and assists, the Norwegian could be replaced for Wednesday’s fixture as Mason looks for a way to rediscover that winning feeling.

West Brom’s performance against Leicester City was only tarnished by a late own goal, so Mason may look to keep his starting XI mostly unchanged.

Aston Villa loanee, Samuel Iling-Junior could continue his run in the side after bagging his first goal for the Baggies against the Foxes on his first start.

The back four is set to remain the same, as Alfie Gilchrist is yet to make his debut after signing from Chelsea.

West Brom need to set Carrow Road record right

West Brom and Norwich City head into this fixture both winless in their last three league games.

The Baggies have not lost at home against the Canaries since 2016, but their form at Carrow Road is much different.

Since Norwich were relegated from the Premier League in 2022, Albion have not managed to defeat them away from home.

Wednesday’s fixture is set to be a cagey one with both sides in need of breaking their winless streak to push themselves closer to the play-offs.

After a heart-breaking own goal against promotion favourites Leicester, Mason’s side will head to East Anglia with confidence in bringing home the three points.
