Millwall vs West Brom result predicted by Supercomputer

Ryan Mason will want to bolster West Brom’s Championship hopes with a win over Millwall.

There were concerns when Mason was first appointed as West Brom manager, given his limited experience.

The 34-year-old has had a mixed start at The Hawthorns, with Mason having to navigate through several injuries at Albion.

While Mason will look to change his West Brom game plan to yield better results, there is no doubt that the game against Millwall will be one of his biggest challenges yet.

West Brom not favourites to win against Millwall

Mason’s Premier League promotion hopes may suffer another blow when the Baggies travel to the Den to face Millwall.

According to Opta’s Supercomputer, West Brom have a 28.7 per cent chance of leaving with all three points while the home side have a 44.4 per cent chance of victory.

There is a 26. 9 per cent chance that the confrontation ends in a draw.

As a result, there needs to be an element of perfection to Albion’s game if they want to stand a chance of beating the Championship side.

Mason will need to structure his team well, but the onus will be on them to execute his game plan without fault.

What is West Brom’s record against Millwall?

The Baggies are not the heavy favourites heading into this match, and their previous record against Millwall provides sufficient reason.

West Brom’s recent record against Millwall poses an even greater cause for concern. The two sides have drawn all five of their last matches, with the Baggies winning just one in their last 10 games.

This is, without a doubt, a record that Mason will not be looking to continue when the two meet for the first time this season.

One of the bigger issues for the Baggies’ coach is that his side’s previous five matches against Millwall were low-scoring ones.

This does not bode well for a team who have been inconsistent in front of goal for large parts of the Championship season.

However, it would be unfair to judge Mason on the results of those who managed the club before him. As a young coach with fresh ideas, there is every chance Albion will return to the Hawthorns with a win.
