How to watch today’s West Brom vs Birmingham City clash: TV channel and kick-off time

West Brom’s clash with Birmingham City on Wednesday will be broadcast on TV for fans to watch from home.

West Brom’s cruel 3-2 loss to Coventry City on Saturday showed signs of promise, but dropping down to 17th place is a huge cause for concern for Ryan Mason.

Having lost four of their last six games, West Brom are desperate for a win against Birmingham City as Mason faces increasing scrutiny.

Chris Davies’ side come into the match sitting ninth in the Championship, and despite a thumping 4-1 win over Norwich City on Saturday, they’re looking to turn around their fortunes on the road.

How to watch West Brom vs Birmingham

West Brom beat Oxford United 2-1 in their last home match, and a win against Birmingham would represent back-to-back wins at The Hawthorns for the first time since March.

The match on Wednesday will be shown on Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Football, and Sky Sports Ultra HDR for viewers in the United Kingdom, with kick-off at 08:00pm.

Sky Sports will also upload highlights of the game via their social media channels, while customers will be able to watch the game on the Sky Sports app and Sky Go.

Birmingham have lost their last two away matches this season, and the Baggies can’t afford to drop points against the newly-promoted side and local rivals.

They’ll need to be wary of the threat the Blues can pose, and Nat Phillips and Chris Mepham certainly have their work cut out for them.

Even though West Brom are expected to beat Birmingham, Mason’s side sit four points off the play-offs, and a lot of work needs to be done at both ends of the pitch.

Birmingham’s goalscoring form poses worries for West Brom

The Blues have 13 goals in their last five matches, including thumping wins over Portsmouth and Millwall.

While 12 of their 13 goals have come at home during that period, the players are gaining huge confidence each week.

Jay Stansfield has eight Championship goals, and the 23-year-old will be a huge handful for Mepham and Phillips.

Both centre-backs are vastly experienced at this level, but with tension at an all-time high in B71, they’ll need to deliver assured performances against Birmingham’s star man.
