West Brom player resurgence on cards in Eric Ramsay revolution, first-team regular should worry

Eric Ramsay is expected to swap Minnesota United for West Brom after Ryan Mason’s dismissal.

Mason lasted just seven months at The Hawthorns, leaving the Baggies 18th in the Championship, and the former Manchester United coach is now set to arrive in B71.

West Brom were beaten 2-1 by Leicester City in the league on 5 January at the King Power Stadium, which proved to be the final straw for Bilkul Football.

Abdul Fatawu’s 94th-minute strike was the final nail in the former Tottenham assistant manager’s coffin, and whoever comes in next has a mountain to climb.

Aune Heggebo to look over shoulder after Eric Ramsay appointment

Aune Heggebo has been inconsistent for West Brom this season, with his lack of quality evident during the loss to Leicester.

Josh Maja replaced the Norway international in the 72nd minute and arguably had more impact on the game at the King Power Stadium.

The 24-year-old striker missed a glorious opportunity to score for the Baggies against the Foxes, which could’ve potentially changed the complexion of the game.

In the second half of the 2-1 loss, the Albion were undoubtedly the better side and should’ve taken the lead before Fatawu’s late winner.

Ramsay now needs to recognise which players are best suited to achieve a play-offs spot in the Championship this season, and a resurgence may be on the cards.

The Minnesota United boss is highly regarded, and it looks like Shilen Patel is determined to give another head coach who doesn’t have a lot of experience a chance in the B71 dugout.

Daryl Dike ready for Eric Ramsay revolution at The Hawthorns

Daryl Dike seems to have lost a lot of weight at West Brom, with the USA international looking ready to kickstart his career.

The 25-year-old has been hampered by injuries at The Hawthorns, but has slowly returned to first-team action in recent months.

Dike looked impressive in training ahead of the Swansea Game in the FA Cup third round on 11 January.

Fans in B71 will now hope that the centre-forward can be one of the catalysts to turn the tide at the Black Country outfit under the leadership of Ramsay.
