West Brom close to hiring coach Sam Allardyce said is ‘horrible in-your-face nutter’
West Brom’s changes behind the scenes are showing no signs of slowing down.
The Baggies are trying to turn their campaign around, as they sit 21st in the Championship, just three points above the relegation zone.
Shilen Patel and Co got it horribly wrong with the Ryan Mason appointment, and club president Andrew Nestor looks set to leave his role as a result of the chaos.
Albion already have a technical director lined up, but there are other moves that are set to take place to try and improve their fortunes.

West Brom set for new coaching hire
There have been significant changes behind the scenes since Eric Ramsay came in, and it looks like another one is on the cards.
Baggies insider Eya We Go claimed on 12 January that Albion wanted Andy Morrison to join the coaching staff.
He followed up on 1 February that it looked like he will join Albion shortly.
It should give the former Manchester United coach a boost after a difficult start to life at The Hawthorns so far, with just one draw and three losses from his first four matches.
Sam Allardyce has already told West Brom why they should hire Morrison
Morrison is a very experienced figure in the football world, with the Scotsman making over 123 appearances for the likes of Huddersfield Town, Manchester City and Blackpool.
The 55-year-old worked under Allardyce at the latter, where the former Baggies boss labelled him as a “horrible in-your-face nutter” after signing him in a club record £250,000 deal.
He has managed Connah’s Quay Nomads from 2015 to 2021 and then the Sri Lanka national team from 2022 to 2024, and also has experience as an assistant manager.
His grit and attitude that Allaryce described is exactly what Albion need right now; they lack that type of mentality right now on and off the pitch, are sleepwalking towards relegation at the moment.
Maybe that can change with a tough, demanding coaching appointment, but only time will tell whether the former Minnesota United boss can turn it around with Morrison’s help on the sidelines.
If they cannot, it may be a difficult few years for the Throstles faithful, but perhaps a new face can prevent the chances of that happening.
